New XUV700 & Safari rival coming soon!
Two Indian cars – Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700 are contesting with each other assertively for increasing their demands. Certainly, XUV700 is more heavily loaded than Safari in terms of features, so Safari is highly likely to get a facelift update that could host features such as a 360-degree camera, a larger infotainment screen, and more. Coming back to today’s topic, there’s one more SUV in the segment that is bound to get a makeover and will come to take on the likes of these two. MG is planning to launch the new MG Hector in 2022 and we are here to share the details about it.
New MG Hector design & specifications
MG is all set to launch an updated version of the Hector essentially with more features and an updated design. The current model looks striking as well but there are speculations that it may get some design upgrades on the front and rear to give it a fresh appeal. Moreover, to enhance the look, Hector might get a new design for the alloys. Moving on to the mechanical side, the car is expected to be the same. With that being said, the Hector currently lacks a diesel automatic configuration. So, there are high chances that the company could offer one.
2022 new MG Hector interior
Hector’s main highlight in the interior has been its infotainment system. Hector is known for its big vertically-oriented touchscreen. The current car comes equipped with a 10.4-inch touchscreen that hosts many features. The new MG Hector will however be upgrading to a 14-inch infotainment system. Other than that, under MG’s push for technology, it may also house a fully digital instrument cluster.
New Important Feature
MG is the pioneer when it comes to adding new segment features. Be it their Astor, Hector, or the Gloster every car had its own unique thing and this new updated Hector would be no different. The new upcoming Hector is expected to have a slew of features such as ADAS. Just like the Astor, features like lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and lane keep assist could be added to enhance the safety quotient of the Hector.
2022 new MG Hector – Launch & Pricing
The new Hector is touted to hit the markets sometime by the end of this year. As per some rumours, the Hector could even see a hefty price hike of around Rs 2.5 lakhs to Rs 3 lakhs for some variants.
