The 2.0 plan has proved its significance and now, the Czech automaker is marching ahead for their next venture. This new strategy could ensure even more Skodas & Volkswagens on the road. The brand is said to have some suitable products for the Indian buyers in mind. Due to the sub-four-metre rule here, Skoda is meticulously studying a new compact SUV to play its cards in this segment. Design
Skoda plans to sell this SUV in global markets like South Africa and Latin America as well. This means that we could see a global design language. The new Skoda compact SUV is expected to take a lot of its design cues from the Kushaq. We expect to see the signature bold grille, sleek headlamps & tail lamps and stylish alloy wheels similar to other Skoda cars. Being a compact SUV and due to the lack of any hatchbacks in the portfolio, it would be the smallest car from Skoda to be offered in India.

This new Skoda could be a game changer for the brand. Powering this compact SUV could be the 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol mill that we have earlier seen in the Kushaq, Slavia and other VW group cars. This engine produces 113bhp & 178Nm of torque. Would Skoda only offer one engine option on this SUV? Mostly yes, since this is the lowest-spec engine option available in their arsenal. Could the 1.5-litre TSI engine be a part of the package? Highly unlikely.
Interior & features
This is one department where the competition could get really interesting. Skoda being late to the party could try to achieve an edge and could offer features like fully-digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, two-spoke steering wheel. a big touchscreen infotainment system and a sunroof along with other nifty features. Could ADAS be on offer? Mostly no, but it cannot be completely rejected. Since this vehicle is still a few years away, there are chances that ADAS in lower segments becomes a valuable feature.

Skoda wants to plan this car by ticking all the boxes as it has very prominent cars as its competition. Going head to head with cars like Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV 300, Skoda is expected to launch this car by 2025.
