Citroen is making big strides in India. Last year, it launched its first product, the C5 Aircross. The C5 Aircross is the brand’s marquee product, but to target a more mass-market audience, Citroen launched the C3 very recently. According to Citroen, the C3 is a premium hatchback with SUV-like characteristics. As a product, the C3 is known for its performance and comfort. Going forward, Citroen has big ambitions for its markets and has plans to launch a sleeve of products. In today’s article, we will talk about upcoming Citroen cars after the C3.

Citroen is working on bringing an affordable EV. Recently, the CEO of Citroen confirmed that they are working on an affordable electric vehicle. The Citroen EV would come based on the CMP modular platform which also underpins the C3. We think Citroen’s EV could be the electric version of the C3. Why do we think so? Citroen has promised that it will launch this electric SUV by next year. So it makes sense for Citroen to convert the ICE-powered C3 to an EV.  

Upcoming Citroen cars – New MPV

Citroen is looking to target different segments with its new cars. Citroen is also looking to enter the affordable MPV segment. It already has the Berlingo in its global lineup. Citroen could bring the Berlingo to India. The Berlingo has already been spotted testing in India on quite a few occasions. So, what is so special about the Berlingo? The Berlingo doesn’t look like any regular MPV. Rather, it looks more like a van. Citroen should look to bring petrol and diesel options on the Berlingo to firmly take on the competition.

Upcoming Citroen cars – C5 Aircross facelift

As mentioned above, the C5 Aircross is the brand’s marquee product in India. Earlier this year, Citroen launched the C5 Aircross facelift in Europe. Now, Citroen is looking to bring this facelift to India. This facelift gets some subtle design changes at the front and rear. What about the interiors? The C5 Aircross facelift now gets a new 10-inch floating infotainment system. Citroen has also revised the switchgear and toggle switch unit. When will Citroen launch it? According to reports, Citroen could launch the facelift sometime in September.
