10 new cars coming in August
There is no shortage of action in the Indian automotive sector right now. In July, we saw the launch of C3 and unveil of heavyweights like the Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder, Maruti Grand Vitara and Hyundai Tucson. But the action is not going to stop in July as we fast approach the festive season. So what does August have in store for us? There are a sleeve of EVs and new cars waiting to be unveiled or launched. In today’s article, we will talk about ten new cars coming in August.
Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder
In July, Toyota unveiled the much anticipated Urban Cruiser HyRyder. Toyota could launch the HyRyder sometime in August. As a product, the HyRyder will be taking on heavyweights like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos as well as its own sister car, the Maruti Grand Vitara. The HyRyder comes with a mild hybrid and strong hybrid setup mated to its 1.5-litre petrol engine. As for features, Toyota has loaded it with many modern features.
New Maruti Alto
After a long wait, the Alto is finally getting a major update. The new Alto will get a complete design overhaul as it will be bigger than the outgoing model. According to rumours, Maruti will be launching the new Alto on the 18th of August. As a product, the new Alto could be getting a more powerful engine as well as some new features. Cars coming in August – Hyundai Tucson
Tucson is Hyundai’s most premium SUV in the country. Earlier this month, Hyundai unveiled the new-generation Tucson and will be launching it on the 4th of August. What does the new Tucson get? It comes with Hyundai’s ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language, giving it a futuristic appeal. In terms of specifications, it gets similar engine option as before but with slightly better tuning. It also comes with a 4WD setup for taking on bad roads. What about the features? The new Tucson gets Level-2 ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully-digital instrument cluster.
Mercedes EQS
Mercedes-Benz S-Class is often considered the epitome of luxury. With the shift towards electrification, Mercedes wanted to replicate its finesse in the EV space as well. What came out was the Mercedes EQS. Mercedes will be launching the EQS 53 4-Matic on August 24, followed by the launch of EQS 580 sometime during the festive season. So why is the EQS 53 4-Matic so special? It is the flagship model for both the EQS range and the Mercedes lineup of electric cars.
Mahindra Born Electric (unveil)
August will also mark the unveiling of Mahindra’s Born electric cars. Last week, Mahindra teased five new Born electric concepts. Mahindra will be unveiling the concepts on the 15th of August. Cars coming in August – Toyota Land Cruiser LC300
The Land Cruiser is one of the most iconic cars in the world. Globally, Toyota launched the new LC300 in 2021, and since then, people have been waiting for its launch in India. According to rumours, Toyota might launch the LC300 sometime in August or September. What’s so special about the LC300? The car is geared towards providing a luxurious experience along with being rugged. As it will be a CBU, we expect it to come with the 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 engine which is capable of producing 700Nm of torque.
