The Maruti Dzire is one of the best-selling compact sedans in India. It has consistently pulled in good sales for the brand. Last month, Maruti sold 12,597 units of the Dzire. The Dzire last got an update in 2020 in the form of a facelift with an updated design and better engine. However, like the Swift, the new generation Dzire is also around the corner. In this generational change, it is expected to get a host of changes and new specifications. In today’s article, let’s talk about the new Maruti Dzire.

New exterior

The current Dzire gets a more mature design than the Swift. We think this will continue on the new Dzire. What can Maruti change? The headlamps could be redesigned, and get a new grille to get that new look. Maruti will also update the bumpers and side skirts on the new Dzire. Maruti might bring some new colour options to the Dzire. Apart from this, the car might even get new alloy wheels to get a fresh look.

New Maruti Dzire- interiors

Maruti Swift Dzire

Interiors have always been kind of a letdown in Maruti cars. In trying to achieve that affordable pricing, Maruti often cuts costs in the interior materials. But in Baleno and Brezza, Maruti has improved on this aspect, and we expect the same on all future Maruti products. Inside the cabin, we expect a modern dashboard layout and new upholstery. Maruti might also give the Dzire a floating infotainment system.

Specifications

Dzire Petrol Engine

Currently, the Dzire comes with a 1.2-litre Dual jet petrol engine paired to a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox. This engine is capable of producing 89bhp and 113Nm of torque. Will Maruti continue with the same engine? Yes, we think so, but with a twist. Maruti recently put out its plans to bring a strong hybrid across its product lineup. This means that we could see a car like the Dzire offer hybrid technology. Maruti already has the Swift hybrid, and the same can be done on the Dzire. This will be a boon for buyers as it will deliver great fuel efficiency.

New Maruti Dzire- More features?

With the Brezza and Baleno, Maruti has shown that it is modernising its cars. Will the new Dzire get the same treatment? We certainly think so, as features have become an integral part of the car buying experience. Some of the expected ones are wireless charging, a new infotainment system and improved connected car technology. Maruti will be looking to target younger buyers with these new features.
