He stated that he plans to bring a new law that rewards Rs 500 to people who click photos of illegally parked cars.

Nitin Gadkari expressed that wrong parking is a huge menace in India. He stated that the number of cars is increasing at a rapid pace and parking spaces are not able to keep up with it. Gadkari also expressed that public transport using electric vehicles is the way to go forward in India.

According to Gadkari, if the fine is Rs 1,000 for wrong parking, then Rs500 from that amount can go to the person who clicks the picture. Nitin Gadkari said this in a joking manner so it is not immediately clear whether there is any framework for such a law. Such a law can have a lot of effects in India.
