Toyota is very well-known for its SUVs globally. One of their famous SUVs in India is the Fortuner. Now, they are going to launch a mid-size SUV under the joint venture with Maruti. The Hyryder would be the first big car for Maruti. So they would have to be very competitive. So this car might get features like a 9-inch infotainment system from Maruti Baleno, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, connected car technology, automatic climate control. Toyota might add features like ventilated seats, heads-up display, 360-degree parking camera, sun-roof and much more. The biggest highlighted feature of this car would be the AWD technology. Also, another big highlight would be its strong hybrid technology as we have mentioned below. With the AWD and Strong Hybrid technology, this car would stand out in its segment.

Many of us know about the joint venture between Toyota and Maruti. So it is expected that the lower trims of Hyryder would be powered by the 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol paired to a mild-hybrid setup. This would be mated with a six-speed manual and six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The higher trim would be powered by a 1.5-litre with a strong hybrid system, for which Toyota is very famous. This engine would be mated to an eCVT technology, to get the optimum mileage.

Toyota HyRyder was recently spotted during an ad-shoot. Toyota has also confirmed that it will be unveiling the HyRder on 1st July 2022. We expect that the prices of this car would start under Rs 12 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai). It is expected to be launched before the festive season.
