The Pulsar series is one of the most loved bike series in India. The Pulsar 150 used to be the entry-level bike since its launch. But now, Bajaj has the Pulsar 125 as their entry-level bike. However, it has been sold in India since 2010 without any major update. Now, Bajaj might finally update the Pulsar 150. It might get a bigger 160cc engine which might be christened the Bajaj Pulsar N160. In this article, we have listed all the details we expect from this Bajaj bike. Let’s go.

Design

Bajaj Pulsar N160

The design of the Bajaj Pulsar N160 is expected to be more modern than before. It is expected that the new Pulsar N160 might get a similar design to their recently launched Pulsar N250. It is expected to get a single projector headlamp with DRLs above it. But the new Pulsar might get a single handlebar than the clip ones that we see in the current generation bike.

Features

Bajaj Pulsar N160

The new Pulsar N160 is expected to get a similar instrument cluster as the new Pulsar N250. So, the instrument cluster could be a semi-digitally unit. The first could be an analogue tachometer, and the second could be a digital display that would show information like speedometer, fuel level indicator, distance to empty, real-time mileage, gear position indicator, clock, trip metres and odometer.

Bajaj Pulsar N160 – Engine

There might not be any major update in the engine department. Bajaj might use the same engine they use on the NS160. Recently, they have updated the Pulsar NS160 engine for new BS6 emission norms. So, the new Pulsar N160 might run on a 160cc oil-cooled petrol engine mated to a five-speed gearbox. This engine on NS160 produces 17bhp & 14.6Nm of torque and has a claimed mileage of above 40 kmpl. The new N160 might get similar power figures.

Bajaj Pulsar N160 – Pricing & Launch

Bajaj Pulsar N160

The current generation Pulsar 150 costs up to Rs 1.38 lakhs and the NS160 costs Rs 1.50 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai). So the Pulsar N160 could be placed in between them and it is expected to be priced between Rs 1.40 lakhs to Rs 1.50 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai). As far as the launch is concerned, the bike could see light of the day sometime this year.
