Mercedes Benz AMG car are one of the most sort after ones by any automobile enthusiast. They offer more aggressive exterior styling, sporty interiors, better handling and a bomb of an engine.

AMG cars generally command over twice and sometimes thrice the price than the Mercedes Benz make standard road going models and this has kept it like a distant dream of a lot of customers.

They also tried to work the AMG magic on smaller cars like the A Class GLA and CLA Class of to offer customers a cheaper entry level options but the demand of the same as been luke warm.

It is seems now that Mercedes Benz wants to capitalise more from the AMG brand and has restructured its line up to now include the AMG Sports line.

The first car to get this new treatment is the new Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 which was powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6, found in models like the Mercedes C 450 AMG and GLE 450 AMG, instead of the full-blown twin-turbo V8 of the standard AMG model. The restructuring is also expected to affect the aforementioned models with the C 450 AMG expected to be rebadged as the AMG C43. The other models in the AMG Sport line range are likely to follow suit.

The restructuring will see the AMG Sport line being integrated into standard AMG line-up as a possible entry-level model for the German automaker’s performance division.

Mercedes recently launched the GLE 450 AMG Coupe in India to take on the likes of the BMW X6 and Porsche Cayenne Turbo. The model is expected to follow this change in nomenclature and could be rebadged Mercedes-AMG GLE 43.
