Tata Nexon has been spotted once again by one of our readers. The front of the Nexon has been snapped and the clear resemblance to the new Tata Impact Design can be found. The Nexon will be launched in India sometime next year, as this year the two launches scheduled include the Zica and the Hexa. Tata will be looking at adding more zing to the compact SUV segment with the Nexon.
The Nexon will be made available with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and the diesel is likely to be a 1.5-litre engine. Both these are new engines. The 1.5-litre petrol engine on the Nexon will be a four-cylinder version of the Zica’s 1.2-litre petrol engine. The diesel is likely to be an all-new Revotorq engine. Tata Motors has been developing a family of new petrol and diesel engines.
The Nexon will get the humanity front grille with projector headlamps and daytime running LED lamps, LED tail lamps, 16-inch wheels, sloping roofline while the interiors will have integrated Harman touchscreen infotainment system, voice command, bluetooth connection, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking camera and even leather seats.
The Nexon is a five-seater SUV and this will be priced between INR 7 lakhs to 12 lakhs. This will be competing with the Ford Ecosport and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. The Mahindra TUV300 also falls in this segment, however it is built on a ladder frame.
