Recent reports suggest that all new 2016 Hyundai Tucson will be launched in the country as the mid-sized SUV between Creta and the Santa Fe.

Korean car maker, Hyundai Motors India Ltd is planning to launch its mid-sized Tucson SUV during the Auto Expo 2016 in India and will be placed between Creta and the Santa Fe.

From the 2015 Geneva Motor Show it is revealed that the all new Hyundai Tucson is so familiar in several markets and this has led to the increase in the production of the same at its Ulsan factory in South Korea. The same will be made available in India through CBU route.

Earlier reports also suggest that Hyundai is planning for the production of mid-sized SUV based on Tucson’s platform to be produced at their Chennai factory and will have its launch in 2018.

Under the hood, expect to see a 2.

4-litre MPi engine that is able to put out 174bhp of max power. The said engine could come mated to either a 6-Speed automatic transmission or a 5-Speed manual transmission. The SUV features an electric 4-wheel drive mechanism that is able to judge the road surface, wheel speed and the acceleration and accordingly, distributes the force to the front and rear wheels. Hyundai claims that the new Tucson SUV will boast of very low NVH levels.

Hyundai has also announced that it will be lining up global cars during the 2016 Auto Expo and 2016 Hyundai Tucson could be one of them.
