Ola has been in the news lately for all the right and wrong reasons. The Ola Scooter has a lot going for it like its high range and features. But like any new product, the S1 Pro needs to mature before it becomes a better product. As it is an EV, Ola can improve its performance with Over The Air (OTA) updates. On these lines, Ola recently released its new ‘Move OS 2.0’ which brought in new features and improvements to the scooter. So what new features does this Ola S1 Pro update bring? In today’s article, let’s find out.

New range-boosting mode

The ‘Move OS 2.0’ update has added a new ECO mode to the Ola S1 Pro. In this mode, the speed is restricted to 45kmph. What are its range figures though you ask? Ola claims that this mode will give it a range of 170km, but some people have been able to extract even more. In the recent past, many Ola S1 Pro users have been able to extract 200km+ range on a single charge. With the ECO mode, users who found the true range to be an issue can now cover more distance. Navigation

The MoveOS 2.0 update also brings in navigation, something which was missing before. Ola will be using ‘MapMyIndia’ maps on the S1 Pro as of now. Through this, users can access maps on the touchscreen. If rumours are to be believed, Ola is also developing an in-house navigation system for better incorporating its charging network data. The navigation is an important feature that was missing from the S1 Pro until this update rolled in.

Bluetooth connectivity via phone

Ola S1 Pro update Music playback

Another unique feature of the Ola Scooter is the music playback option. This was showcased in the presentation by Bhavish Aggarwal when the Ola was launched last year. With this update, they have added this feature as well. Through this, you can play music while riding the scooter. This is more of an entertainment feature than a practical one. The music playback is done through the phone connected to the scooter via Bluetooth.
