Toyota Fortuner GR-S launched! Crazy pricing!
Toyota has been quite active in the last few months. It has been launching new products as well as updating its regular bread-and-butter products, especially the Fortuner. Today, Toyota has updated the Fortuner once again by launching a GR-Sport variant. So, what does Toyota offer with this new Fortuner variant? In today’s article, we will talk about the newly launched Toyota Fortuner GR-S. Let’s begin.
Exterior changes
The Fortuner GR-S gets cosmetic changes that differentiate it from the standard Fortuner and the Legender. These changes include a special bi-toned radiator grille, slightly updated bumpers, and all-black alloy wheels. Toyota has also added GR-S badges on the grille, fenders and boot lid.
Toyota Fortuner GR-S – Interior changes
We see subtle changes on the interior front as well. The Fortuner GR-S gets an all-black interior with red stitching accents. Other changes include a new GR exclusive steering wheel and instrument cluster. We also have the GR badge on the seat headrests. Other features like wireless charging, powered tailgate, an 8.0-inch infotainment system and JBL sound system continue to be a part of the GR-S list.
Specifications
The Fortuner GR-S comes with tuned suspension that will give it better handling. Coming to the engine specs, the Fortuner GR-S comes only with the diesel engine option. It will continue with the 2.8-litre diesel engine capable of producing 201bhp and 500Nm of torque and will come paired to an automatic option. Toyota Fortuner GR-S is being offered with the 4WD option only.
Toyota Fortuner GR-S – Pricing and rivals
The Fortuner GR-S will now be Fortuner’s top model, taking the crown from the Legender. The pricing of the Fortuner GR-S starts from Rs 48.43 lakh (ex-showroom). The Fortuner currently has no rivals in its segment that comes close to its monthly sales figures.
