Tata continues to hog headlines in the EV space. Last month, the brand launched two new electric concepts: Curvv and Avinya. Now it is gearing up to launch the long-range version of the Nexon EV which the brand is calling the ‘Nexon EV Max’ on the 12th of May. So what will be the Nexon EV Max’s range? The Nexon EV Max will get a bigger 40kWh battery pack. Tata recently posted a teaser video of the Nexon EV Max that it can do a round trip from Mumbai to Pune, Delhi to Kurukshetra, Bengaluru to Mysuru, Chenna to Puducherry, Gandhinagar to Vadodara, Ranchi to Dhanbad, in a single charge. That will translate into a real-world range of 300km+. The ARAI-certified range should be over 400km. 

Design changes

Tata is expected to give the Nexon EV Max subtle design changes to differentiate it from the Nexon EV. So what subtle changes can Tata bring? We expect it to get updated badging. Tata might also give it a special colour.

Tata has started teasing some new features of the Nexon EV Max. It is confirmed to get an illuminated gear lever, adjustable regenerative braking, drive modes and an electronic parking brake. What else can Tata bring? It can give it an air purifier, auto-dimming IRVM and ventilated seats like the ICE-powered Nexon.

Tata has already confirmed that it will be launching the Nexon EV Max on the 11th of May. The Max version is most likely to be sold along with the normal Nexon EV. So what will be its pricing? We expect the Nexon EV Max to be priced somewhere between Rs 20 lakh to Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom).
