Hyundai has had a good presence in the CNG market for quite some time now. Cars like the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, the Aura and the Santro are currently available with a factory-fitted kit. But now, Hyundai might be looking to expand its CNG lineup with a new car. Kia Sonet’s sister product, the Hyundai Venue could come with one. We are speculating this since Sonet was recently spotted testing with a CNG kit. Likewise, Hyundai might also be planning to bring the Venue CNG. In this article, we have discussed what we can expect from the Hyundai Venue CNG.

Hyundai Venue CNG specifications

Currently, Hyundai Venue is available in three engine options – a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Traditionally, we have seen CNG kits being mated to naturally-aspirated engines, so the 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine could be made available with the CNG kit. However, the Sonet CNG was spotted testing with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. Nothing is confirmed as of now, but the Venue could come with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine option as well.

Design

Hyundai Venue CNG

Hyundai is all set to bring a facelift in the coming months. The design is set to undergo a significant overhaul. Even the CNG variants are expected to come with this new design but will not see any other special changes. The only significant difference would be in the boot. There might not be huge space in the boot of Venue CNG due to the cylinder occupation.

Features

We can expect a similar number of features in the Venue CNG. We still have to see what variants does Hyundai offer this SUV in. The feature list will too depend on that. Do you think Hyundai should keep CNG as a premium feature?

Hyundai Venue CNG – Prices

It is very uncertain that the Venue CNG might be launched in India. We expect it to come due to the recent spotting of the Sonet CNG. However, if it is launched, we expect that it might be priced at a premium of Rs 50,000 more than the regular variants of the Venue facelift.
