Is this Nissan’s plan after the success of Magnite?

Nissan India after a long bout of low sales and no inspiring product found a ray of hope with the success of the Magnite. Nissan is now looking to develop on this momentum by bringing in new products from its global portfolio. In today’s article, we will be looking at upcoming (expected) Nissan cars in India. Let’s begin.

Kicks facelift

The Nissan Kicks competes in the lucrative C-SUV segment. But the Kicks struggles to achieve any sales due to its outdated design and not-so-competitive features. So it makes sense for Nissan to bring in the facelift of Kicks. Nissan already sells the Kicks facelift outside India. The updated Kicks comes with a  bolder design and added features. Nissan could really work it out by bringing in a refreshed work of this SUV.

Leaf 

The Leaf is Nissan’s electric hatchback which is sold outside India. Considering the upcoming EV revolution in India, Nissan should bring the Leaf to gain in on this growth. It comes with an EM57 motor capable of producing 147bhp and 320Nm of torque. Range-wise, it comes with a claimed range of 400km. Nissan will have to manufacture the Leaf locally to price it competitively.

Upcoming Nissan cars – Terra

Another popular segment Nissan can target is the full-size SUV segment with its Terra. Globally, the Terra comes with a 2.5-litre diesel engine with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic. The Terra also comes with a two-wheel or four-wheel drive option. Some of the highlighted features on the Terra include an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment, blind-spot warning, lane departure warning, etc.
