Royal Enfield has committed to an aggressive launch strategy. It had announced plans to launch a new bike every quarter. Last month, it launched the Scram 411, a street-focused version of the popular Himalayan. Royal Enfield’s next launch is expected to be the more powerful version of the Himalayan, called the Himalayan 450. The bike has been spotted testing quite a few times. We have obtained new spy shots today. In today’s article, we will take a look at these new Himalayan 450 spy shots.

What was spotted?

Although the bike is heavily camouflaged, due to its resemblance with the Himalayan, it is easy to figure out that it is the Himalayan 450. Some highlighted changes seem to be the raised front fender, a small windshield, USD forks in the front and 21-inch spoked wheels. Other noticeable changes are upswept exhaust, spilt seat setup, new fuel tank and new instrument cluster mount. At the rear, we can see sharp looking taillamps.

Expected specifications

The Himalayan 450 will come with a 450cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. This engine is expected to produce 40bhp of power. The torque figures of this bike are still unknown. Considering it is tuned for off-roading, it will be tuned to deliver better performance in low and mid-range.

There is no official confirmation from Royal Enfield regarding the Himalayan 450. But considering Royal Enfield’s launch strategy, we can expect it to be launched in the first quarter of 2023. Pricing-wise, it is expected to start from Rs 2.70 lakh (ex-showroom). This pricing will make it cheaper than competitors like BMW G310GS and the KTM 390 Adventure.
