Tata Curvv launch timeline revealed
Tata dabbled into the EV space with its Nexon EV and Tigor EV. Tata is now looking to bring more EVs. Recently, it unveiled the Curvv concept but didn’t reveal the launch timeline of the concept. In today’s article, we will talk about the Tata Curvv launch timeline.
Tata Curvv launch – Launch timeline
The Curvv concept is still in its early stages of development so expecting a 2022 launch is unjustified. However, we can expect the production car by the end of 2023 or early 2024. This is considering the development time and the testing phase after that.
Concept design
The Curvv shows Tata’s ‘Digital’ design language. The front fascia of the Curvv gets a minimalistic design, with the standout being the LED DRL line. Headlights are placed on the bumper in a triangular housing. The concept doesn’t get traditional ORVMs, but rather cameras that transmit the feed inside the car. In the side profile, we can see the notchback design with a sloping roofline. At the rear, we get to see inverted L-shaped taillamps running across the entire width.
Interior design
The interiors of the Tata Curvv get a futuristic look. It gets a plain dashboard with orange ambient lighting. In the middle, we also have a floating infotainment system. Below the dashboard, we have digital AC controls. Other interior highlights include a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo and a floating digital instrument cluster. The Curvv also gets a big panoramic sunroof and an electrically powered tailgate.
Tata Curvv launch – Specifications
Tata hasn’t revealed the exact specifications of the Curvv concept. One thing Tata has revealed is that it will first bring the EV avatar and then the ICE counterpart. The production-spec Curvv is expected to deliver a range of around 400kms.
