Tata Harrier has been a popular mid-size SUV ever-since its launch in 2019. It has taken lead in every major aspect, especially the design department. The Harrier comes with a muscular design that has got many customers going gaga for. The Harrier however needs a facelift soon since it has been in the market for three years now. With the facelift, Tata has the opportunity to minimise whatsoever flaws of the current Harrier. In this article, we discuss some points that reflect that the Harrier facelift has the potential to become an ultimate SUV in India.

Petrol Engine

The Harrier currently gets 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine. This engine makes 168bhp & 350Nm of torque. However, the Harrier misses out on a petrol engine option. Tata is said to be working on a petrol engine option for its flagship products. They are testing their 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine which will be suitable for their bigger products like the Harrier and Safari. We expect this engine to debut on the Harrier facelift.

Better infotainment system

The Tata Harrier is a big SUV. In the interior, the car is very roomy and spacious, however the small infotainment system looks out of place for a vehicle of this stature. Tata still gives it an 8.8-inch infotainment system. We expect that Tata might give it a bigger infotainment system. Along with the big infotainment, it might also get added features in its connected car technology. The Harrier already gets a premium sound system which Tata might or might not update.

Tata Harrier facelift – ADAS

MG Astor and the Mahindra XUV700 are the only two affordable cars to get ADAS in India. In order to make the competition more interesting, Tata is expected to add level two ADAS in the Harrier facelift. Features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assists, park assists, automatic emergency braking, and other features could make their way to the Harrier.
