After months of waiting, Toyota has finally launched the Hilux in India. In January, Toyota had unveiled the Hilux but didn’t reveal the price of the Hilux. Today it has finally revealed its pricing. In this article, we will take a look at the price of the Toyota Hilux and all other details regarding this pickup truck.

The pricing of the Hilux starts from Rs 33.99 lakh for the base 4×4 MT Standard variant. The next variant is the High variant which is Rs 35.80 lakhs for the manual transmission and Rs 36.80 lakh for the automatic transmission. Bookings for the Hilux have been open since January, with a booking amount of Rs 1 lakh. It will come through the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) route in India and have a different production line in the Bidadi plant.

The Hilux is quite a huge car when compared to other cars in India. It is 5325mm in length, 1855mm in width and 1865mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 3085mm and has a ground clearance of 279mm. It also has a water wading capacity of 700mm. Design-wise, the Hilux looks like a typical Toyota SUV. It gets an aggressive grille with a lot of chrome to add that bling factor. The side and rear profile get that urban off-roader look.

The Hilux comes with a diesel engine option only. It comes with a 2.8-litre diesel engine, the same engine we see on the Fortuner. This engine is capable of producing 201bhp and 420Nm of torque (500Nm with automatic configuration). Transmission options include a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic. The Hilux also comes with drive modes- ECO and POWER.

The Hilux comes with a decent amount of features. It comes with an 8.0-inch infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, seven airbags, front parking sensors, leather upholstery and LED headlamps. In terms of off-road capabilities, it comes with traction control, electronic differential lock and tyre angle monitor.
