Tata offers Nexon with six-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. It is not the best automatic gearbox to have, but does its job well. So the Nexon needs a new gearbox. Recently, Tata has launched the Altroz DCA variant with the DCT gearbox. Tata has done good research while working with the DCT gearbox. So Tata might soon make the DCT gearbox standard for their other products very soon. In the new edition, Tata might add up the new variants in the Nexon lineup with the new DCT transmission option.
The DCT gearbox is a type of an automatic gearbox. The full-form of the DCT is the Dual Clutch Transmission. It basically has two clutch systems for smooth and effortless automatic gear shifts. Tata has recently launched the Altroz with this gear box. The company calls it DCA – Dual Clutch Automatic.
Tata Nexon is already a complete product. But other competitors in the market offer various transmission options so that customers might opt for the variant suitable for their usage. So, Tata is also working hard to fulfill the demand of the customer. With the addition of these new variants, the Nexon would become a complete all-rounder package.
