Design changes

Both the hatchbacks have the same silhouette but do come with some major design changes. The Baleno gets a wider grille and three-module LED DRLs. It also gets split tail lamps.

In comparison, the Glanza gets a design more in line with other Toyota cars. Toyota has loaded it with chrome and has also added a sportier bumper. It also gets a different alloy wheel design compared to the Baleno.

Both the cars come with the same engine option, which is a Dual Jet, dual VVT engine. Both the cars being the same mechanically come based on Maruti’s Heartect platform. This engine is capable of producing 89bhp & 113Nm of torque. Both the cars come with manual and AMT gearbox options.

Warranty

Like the old Glanza, the 2022 Glanza comes with a 3-year or 1-lakh kilometre warranty period. In comparison, the Baleno comes with a 2-year or 40,000km warranty period as standard. So the Glanza offers better warranty protection than the Baleno.

The pricing of the Baleno starts from Rs 7.36 lakh and goes to Rs  10.94 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). On the other hand, the Glanza starts from Rs 7.55 lakh and goes to Rs 11.38 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
