It’s no secret that Mahindra’s next car launch will be the new-generation Scorpio. Mahindra has been extensively testing the Scorpio in various parts of the country. As a product, the Scorpio has always been quite a unique product and does get a lot of unique features. Mahindra will be looking to continue these unique features in the new Scorpio Sting. In today’s article, we will see features the Mahindra Scorpio will get over the XUV700.

Rear-wheel Drive

Mahindra Scorpio features

In a rear-wheel-drive system, the engine provides power to the rear wheels, while steering handles the front wheels. The biggest benefits of this are that rear-wheels don’t know signs of torque steer as there is no connection between engine and steering wheel.

Mahindra Scorpio features- Ladder-on-frame

Mahindra Scorpio features

The ladder on frame chassis has quite a lot of benefits like off-road superiority, robust framework and rigid structure. The current Scorpio is built on the ladder-on-frame chassis giving it that rugged nature. So we expect Mahindra to continue with the same on the new Scorpio.

Hydraulic struts

Mahindra Scorpio features

Most of the mass-market cars in India come with normal bonnet opening. Normal in the sense that you open the bonnet and hook it to a slot placed in the bonnet. But the Scorpio comes with a hydraulic strut, where you have to lift the bonnet and the hydraulic maintains its position. The current Scorpio gets it and we expect the same on the newer generation.

Mahindra Scorpio features- 4X4

Mahindra Scorpio features

The XUV700 comes with an AWD system which is good enough for off-roading. But the Scorpio will come with a proper 4×4 system for hardcore off-roading. The Scorpio will come with settings like 4WD high and low giving it more freedom while off-roading. The rear axle might get MLD for better off-road performance.
