India’s 2 best-selling SUVs to soon get updates
The SUV segment has seen a big boom, not only in the Indian market but also worldwide. In India, the highest-selling C-segment SUVs are the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos. The Creta has got the facelift overseas and the Seltos facelift has also been spied testing. Both the Korean manufacturers know that the key to stay competitive in the Indian market is to bring regular updates. In this article, we have listed all updates both the cars might get in their facelifts.
Hyundai Creta Kia Seltos facelift – Design
The Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos are both very attractive C-segment SUVs. The Creta has received a facelift in the global market. The Creta now gets a massive Tucson-inspired grill with integrated LED DRLs at the front. Even the headlamp setup has been completely changed. The new setup is giving the Creta a very fresh look. It also gets new alloy wheels and slightly reworked bumpers.
The Kia Seltos facelift was recently spotted for the very first time. Although not much is known regarding the design, we expect to see some noticeable changes done to the design elements. These new changes will give the Seltos a fresh appeal. New headlamps & tail lamps, new alloys and reworked bumpers are some of the expected changes.
Interior and features
Not much is expected to be changed when it comes to the interior of both the cars. However, we expect to see some important additions on both the cars. The Creta along with features like panoramic sunroof, connected car tech, ventilated seats, big 10.25-inches infotainment system, premium Bose music system, etc. is now expected to get important features like 360-degree camera, ADAS (level 2) and a few others.
The Kia Seltos is also expected to see a major revamp done to its feature list. Features like panoramic sunroof, electronic parking brake, ADAS (level 2), etc. are expected. Addition of such features will make both these SUVs more lucrative for buyers. Also, along with being lucrative options, they will become well-equipped to take on newer cars like the MG Astor and the Mahindra XUV700.
Specifications
Creta and Seltos facelifts will get the same engine options that the current generations get. However, we expect these engines to undergo retuning in order to put out more power. Transmission options are expected to remain the same.
Hyundai Creta Kia Seltos facelift – Launch
The Hyundai Creta facelift is expected to launch this year. However, we are expecting the Kia Seltos facelift to come first. These cars would continue competing with rivals like the MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, along with cars like the MG Hector and Mahindra XUV700.
