The Tata Nexon is currently the top-selling compact SUV in India. But Nexon’s prominent competitor, the Hyundai Venue is going to get a facelift very soon this year. Venue was one of the most feature-rich compact SUVs when it was launched. However, with passing time, the Venue lost its stronghold due to the competition that caught up soon. In this facelift, more features are going to be added to the Venue with a new look. In this article, we have mentioned what the new Venue will be like and whether Tata Nexon buyers should wait for it.

Looks and Dimensions

Hyundai Venue

We do not expect any major change in terms of dimensions since it is only a facelift. At the front, it would get a bigger grille to make it look more aggressive and bigger. Overall dimensions would be the same as the current generation. That is it would be 3,995mm long, 1,770mm wide, 1,590 high, with a ground clearance of 190mm.

Feature Updates

Hyundai Venue

The interior of the Venue facelift might be completely updated. It might get a new and bigger 10.25-inch infotainment system as we see on the Creta. The new Venue might also get an all-digital MID. Also, the facelift might get additional features in its Bluelink-connected car technology. The new Venue is expected to have the ADAS. The main highlight would be it might get better music systems with the mood lights integrated with it.

New Transmission

Hyundai Venue

The Hyundai Venue has petrol, turbo-petrol, and a diesel option as well. The transmission offered to these engines is a 6-speed manual, 7-speed automatic as well as an iMT as well. But the diesel is only available with a manual transmission. So, with the facelift, we can also expect the automatic transmission for the diesel Hyundai Venue. It would be the same as the Sonet which comes with a six-speed torque convertor.

Price and Competition

Hyundai Venue

The new Venue would be priced approximately Rs 50,000 more than the current generation. That is the Venue would start with a price of Rs 7.5 lakhs. In the market, it would compete with cars like the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.

Conclusion

Hyundai Venue

Waiting for the new Hyundai Venue can get you a great car. But now the Nexon is also a feature-rich SUV in this segment. This car gets some unique features like ventilated seats and connected car technology. If you want to buy a car with many more fancy features, you may wait for the new generation Venue but buying a Nexon is not a bad option too.
