The hatchback segment has always been popular in India. Hatchbacks make up 40 to 45% of cars in our country. Maruti cracked the code very early in this regard and has dominated ever since. The Baleno has been its shining star in the premium hatchback segment. Maruti’s collaboration with Toyota has led to Baleno getting a sister model in the form of Glanza. Recently Maruti launched the new Baleno, so we can expect Glanza to also get these new updates. In today’s article, we will see how the new Toyota Glanza will be different from the new Baleno.

Different design

The Glanza will get some subtle design changes over the Baleno. It will get a different grille than the Baleno. Some spy shots indicate that it will get a different bumper with wider air inlets. It will also get new alloy wheels when compared to the Baleno.

Interior changes

We don’t expect many changes in the interiors. Toyota could slightly redesign the dashboard to create more of a differentiation. The company could create a distinction with the use of different upholstery options.

New Glanza- Features

Maruti has loaded the new Baleno with features. So we expect the Glanza to also get all these features. So it will get the new heads-up display, auto-dimming IRVM, a new floating infotainment system, 360-degree camera, etc. Toyota might add in some new basic features to attract customers.

Pricing and variants

new Toyota Glanza

Toyota charges a premium of close to Rs 50,000 on the Glanza compared to the Baleno. Considering the new Baleno starts from Rs 6.35 lakh (ex-showroom), we can expect the new Glanza to start from somewhere around Rs 6.85 lakh to Rs 6.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
