But Skoda is known for its sedans and is betting huge by launching the Slavia. Skoda had already revealed the price of its 1.0-litre TSI on 28th February. Now it has announced the pricing of the 1.5-litre TSI. So now as we know the full pricing of the Slavia, we will be comparing it with the Honda City. In todays article, we will compare the price and other specs of Skoda Slavia vs Honda City.

The price of the 1.5-litre TSI starts from Rs 16.19 lakh (manual) and 17.79 lakh (DSG) (ex-showroom). While the 1.0-litre TSI starts from Rs 10.69 lakh. The Honda City, in comparison starts from Rs 11.33 lakh and goes to Rs 15.28 lakh (ex-showroom)

Dimensions

Dimension-wise, the Slavia is 4541mm in length, 1752mm in width & 1487mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 2651mm and has a ground clearance of 179mm. In comparison, the City is 4549mm in length, 1748mm in width and 1489mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 2600mm and has a ground clearance of 165mm. 

Engine specifications

The Slavia comes with two petrol engine options. The first engine is a 1.0-litre TSI capable of producing 113bhp and 178Nm of torque. This engine comes with a manual and a torque converter gearbox. While the second engine is a 1.5-litre TSI capable of producing 148bhp and 250Nm of torque. This engine comes with a manual and a DCT gearbox. 

The City comes with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine is a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated engine capable of producing 119bhp & 145Nm of torque. Petrol engine comes with both manual and automatic options. While the Diesel engine is a 1.5-litre unit capable of producing 97bhp & 200Nm of torque. The diesel engine is offered with only a manual gearbox. 

Slavia vs City price- Features

The Slavia comes loaded with features like automatic climate control, 8-inch digital instrument cluster, 10-inch infotainment system, reverse parking camera, TPMS, front ventilated seats, wireless charging and electric sunroof. 

Honda City comes equally loaded with features. It gets an electric sunroof, 8-inch infotainment system, 8-speaker sound system, tyre pressure monitoring system, Alexa enabled voice assist and remote start.
