Maruti Baleno is one of the most successful hatchbacks in India. Since its launch in 2015, it has dominated the premium hatchback segment beating the likes of the Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz. Now Maruti has given the Baleno a second facelift to keep the model fresh. It has been teasing the new Baleno for sometime. Finally today, it has launched the new Baleno. Pricing and variants

The pricing of the Baleno starts from Rs 6.35 lakh and goes to Rs 9.49 lakhs (ex-showroom). The variant lineup consists of Sigma, Delta, Zeta & Alpha. Colour options on the new Baleno include Nexa Blue, Luxe Beige, Grandeur Grey, Opulent Red, Splendid Silver and Arctic White.

Maruti Baleno launched Exterior Design

The new Baleno has got a lot of subtle design changes. At the front, it now sports a new grille that extends into the headlamps. It also sports new bumpers. The side profile is almost identical to the old model. At the rear, it has got a completely new tailgate design with new taillamps. Other exterior changes include new alloy wheels and a new rear bumper. 

Interior design

Maruti has also updated the interiors on the new Baleno. It has updated the dashboard with a new floating infotainment system. It also comes with a heads-up display. Some other interior features include a flat-bottom steering wheel, rear AC vents, sliding front arm rest and coloured accents on the door pads. 

Specifications

The new Baleno carries forward the same engine option as its predecessor. It comes with a DualJET and Dual VVT engine. This engine is capable of producing 81bhp and 113Nm of torque. Maruti has brought in anew AMT gearbox on the new Baleno. It comes with idle start & stop and best-in class mileage. Maruti has also changed the suspension tuning to offer a better ride.

Maruti Baleno launched features

Maruti has loaded the Baleno with a lot of new features. It now comes with a new floating infotainment system, SmartPlay Pro+ with ARKAMYS surround sense, heads-up display, 360-view camera, six airbags, improved Suzuki connect system and rear AC vents.
