Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has started manufacturing updated variants of the i20 and the i20 Active. The revised units of the Hyundai i20 will hit showrooms in the coming weeks.

Sources have mentioned that the updates are purely cosmetic and safety related and the mechanicals of the car will remain unchanged. All the variants of the i20 and i20 Active will now come with dual front airbags as standard. There will now be five variants on offer from Hyundai, they have axed the Sportz (O) variant. The top-spec Asta (O) will now feature projector headlights with cornering function and also get LED DRL treatment. The Asta (O) will also get 16” Diamond cut wheel design along with a seven inch audio system with integrated navigation.

They continue to be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel motors that are mated to a five-speed and six-speed manual box respectively.
