Tata seems to be busy extensively testing its Toyota Innova rival, the Hexa. It is being spotted quite regularly and all over the place. It was first spotted near Kolhapur and then spy pics of the car doing rounds in and around Pune have leaked online in the past few days.

The interior spy shots, though not very clear, that there will be a lot of components picked up from the Aria. The steering wheel and gearknob are as per the new Tata Signature styling which has already been incorporated in the Zest and Bolt.

The Hexa was first shown at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and is now expected to arrive in the Indian market during the 2016 Auto Expo. It is expected to be powered by the same 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder, Varicor diesel engine that currently powers the Safari Storme VariCOR 400. The engine develops 154bhp of power and 400Nm of torque and will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox with a 4WD option.

After the Aria’s complete failure in the crossover segment, Tata is hoping to put up a better show with the forthcoming Hexa.
