Maruti Brezza to get never seen before tech and features
The Maruti Vitara Brezza is one of the most loved SUVs in India. It has achieved this status due to its reliable engine and fuss-free ownership experience. But the Brezza desperately needs a generational update as it is the oldest car in its segment. It is expected to get this generational update in 2022. Recently images of a production-ready new Brezza were leaked online, hinting at big updates. It is expected to get a lot of new technology and features. Hybrid tech
Considering the rising fuel prices, people are looking for fuel-efficient hybrid cars. Currently, Brezza comes with Maruti’s smart hybrid technology (SHVS), which is quite a basic version of a hybrid system. In its new-generation, Maruti is giving it a better hybrid system to increase fuel efficiency. It will get a small 1-kWh or 3-kWh battery pack with regeneration capabilities.
Maruti Brezza 2022- Sunroof
Maruti was quite vocal about not offering sunroofs in their cars. But considering the rising popularity of sunroofs, Maruti seems to have finally given in to the demand and offered a sunroof on the new Brezza. The new-generation Brezza spy shot did reveal a sunroof making it the first Maruti car to come with a factory-fitted sunroof.
360-degree camera
Another big addition could be a 360-degree camera. 360-degree cameras are a must-have feature on such big SUVs. It is quite useful while manoeuvring in congested spaces. Currently, only the Nissan Magnite comes with a 360-degree camera in this segment.
Bigger infotainment system
Big infotainment systems have become an important USP. Currently, the Vitara Brezza comes with a 7.0-inch system which is very small compared to the competition cars. In its new-generation, Brezza will get an 8/9-inch floating infotainment system giving the dashboard a modern look.
Maruti Brezza 2022- Paddle shifters
Automatic gearboxes are becoming quite popular in the Indian market. An automatic gearbox with paddle shifters provides that sporty feel while changing gears in manual mode. The new Brezza is expected to come with paddle shifters, according to the spy shots. Currently, only the Kia SOnet comes with paddle shifters in this segment.
