Skoda recently unveiled their latest sedan, the Slavia. The sedan is scheduled for a launch on 11 March 2022. The Slavia is a car that replaces the Skoda Rapid in India. Skoda Slavia Design

The Skoda Slavia is based on the MQB-A0-IN platform, being the second car in India to use the same platform after Kushaq. The car carries the new design language of Skoda that is very noticeable when you see the front grille of this car. The Slavia is bigger than the recently discontinued Rapid in dimensions. Skoda Slavia definitely has more to offer when it comes to shoulder room and legroom in the cabin. The Skoda Slavia is 4485mm in length, 1706mm in width, 1475mm in height with a wheelbase of 2602mm, and a ground clearance of 170mm. The Skoda Slavia gets a bigger boot space at 521 litres when compared to other sedans in the segment.

Engine

The Skoda Slavia will be offered with two turbocharged petrol engines. The 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine produces 115bhp & 178Nm of torque, and the 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine produces 150bhp & 250Nm of torque. There is a choice of a six-speed manual gearbox, six-speed automatic (torque converter), and a seven-speed DSG (dual-clutch) gearbox to choose from.

Features

The interiors of the Skoda Slavia come loaded with features like a flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel, an electric sunroof with bounce-back function, circular AC vents, touch screen infotainment system, automatic climate control, and A-pillar mounted tweeters. The fully digital instrument cluster of the Skoda Slavia is called the virtual cockpit. In terms of safety, the Slavia gets six airbags, ABS with EBD and ESC (Electronic Stability Control).
