V-power is a premium category of fuel sold by Shell. Shell promises that it provides better performance and efficiency. It has the highest amount of DYNAFLEX formulation, reducing friction and cleaning molecules to help protect your engine.  

Bharat Petroleum Speed

Speed is the premium fuel sold by Bharat Petroleum (BP). BP claims this fuel is enriched with multi-functional additives, keeping the engine clean. This, in turn, maximises its power and keeps the engine life prolonged. It also lowers emissions and provides a smoother drive.    

HP Power99

Power99 is the premium branded petrol sold by Hindustan Petroleum. It has an octane rating of 99, giving it more ability to withstand compression without detonating. It also reduces emissions and is good for the engine in the long run. Octane improver used in Power99 is approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

Indian Oil 100 Octane premium fuel

Indian Oil also has 100-octane fuel in India. It is only available in select outlets of Indian Oil. It offers better driveability and boosts engine performance. This fuel is more suited to high-end and imported vehicles. 

Indian Oil XtraGreen Diesel

Indian Oil recently rolled out a cleaner and greener diesel option, XtraGreen diesel. The company claims that it is more fuel-efficient and environment friendly than regular diesel. The XtraGreen diesel comes with DMFA (Diesel Multi-Functional Additive). This DMFA improves fuel economy and reduces a lot of harmful exhaust gases like carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. The XtraGreen diesel will be available at 126 fuel stations across 63 cities in the country. 

Compressed Natural Gas

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is used in traditional petrol vehicles. CNG are made available by manufacturers (factory-fitted) or by aftermarket outlets. It is an environmentally clean alternative fuel, as its combustion process emits a lower percentage of greenhouse gases when compared to other fuels. According to the ministry of petrol & natural gas, CNG pumps have gone up from 947 to over 2200 in the last six years. 

Liquified petroleum gas

Liquified petroleum gas or LPG is a flammable mixture of hydrocarbon gases. It is increasingly becoming popular in cars in India. Currently, around 2.5 million LPG vehicles are running on Indian roads. LPG is especially popular in South India due to the incentives provided.
