UM Motorcycles confirm their first model for India

UM Motorcycles today announced that the Renegade Sport S will be the first bike to be launched in India. Earlier today UM Motorcycles tweeted and confirmed the same.

Recently we reported of UM Motorcycles plan to make India their manufacturing and export hub. They have a two stage plan for expansion as well. With the confirmation of their launch model they might be very close to starting the manufacturing process.

The brand showcased this model at the EICMA show last month and there are quite a few customers here in India eagerly waiting for the product.

Powering the bike will be a 279cc, fuel-injected-single-cylinder, liquid-cooled petrol motor producing 26.6 PS of power @ 8,600 RPM and 22.76 Nm of torque @ 6,300 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox.

The Renegade Sport S gets a front disc brake while a drum at the rear. Also, it sports 17″ profile at the front and 15″ at the back.
