Hyundai will be unveiling two new products at the 2016 Auto Expo. One of them will be an SUV and other will be a new sedan (the Verna). Hyundai has been working on multiple new products that include the new MPV, new compact sedan against the Ecosport and the new-generation Verna.

 

As the SUV segment has been one of the fastest growing segments and with Honda City climbing up the charts, Hyundai will be introducing the new Verna and the compact SUV. The new-generation Verna will be a bit bigger than the currently sold version. It will be powered by a 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines. All the shortcomings of the Verna will be resolved with the new-generation. It will get six-speed automatic transmissions on both petrol and diesel, there will rear AC vents, touchscreen system with reverse parking came and satellite navigation. Hyundai will ensure that the new Verna is the most feature-loaded in its segment and at the same time, the best value for money proposition. The new Verna will be a lot more evolved and it will follow the Fluidic Deisgn 2.0. The pricing of the new Verna will be between INR 9.5 lakhs to INR 14 lakhs (on-road) and it will launched by mid-2016.

The second product that will be unveiled at the Auto Expo is the compact SUV. This will be powered by a 1.4-litre petrol and diesel engines.

This will also be getting an automatic transmission for the diesel engine. This will be a compact SUV (under four metres) and its design take a lot of design cues from the Creta. This will also get touchscreen system with GPS and reverse parking camera and this will be launched in the last quarter of 2016. The pricing of the new compact SUV will be about INR 8.
