The Jeep Junior will be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual and an automatic gearbox. According to some leaks, we expect that it will come to India in the 4xe. The 4xe is a form of all-wheel drive that Jeep has invented using a battery setup.

The Jeep junior would be giving competition to the segment of sub-four-metre compact SUVs in India. So, it will compete with the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift, Toyota Urban cruiser, and the upcoming Citreon C3. The prices of the Jeep Junior will start from Rs 10 lakhs (Ex-showroom) and will go up to Rs 15 lakhs (Ex-showroom).
