Recently, TVS launched the 125cc variant of its highest-selling scooter, the Jupiter. The special thing about this scooter is its fuel tank lid. It is not situated beneath the seat like other scooters, but rather under the footboard. So, apart from the space on the footboard, it gets a big 32-litre under-seat storage. Two full-face helmets can fit in the boot. It has a semi-digital MID. The speedometer is analogue whereas the digital part shows the fuel gauge, clock, odometer, trip metre, distance to empty, and the real-time mileage with a phone charger socket too.

The TVS Jupiter 125 gets a 125cc air-cooled engine that churns out 8bhp & 10.5Nm of torque and a top speed of 90kmph. Also, it comes with 5.1-litre fuel tank with an external fuel cap. The Jupiter 125 gives a mileage of 45-50kmpl. The Jupiter 125 will cost you somewhere around Rs 91,000 to Rs 1 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Suzuki Burgman 125

Suzuki Burgman is the first affordable maxi-scooter in India. Also, it is the most spacious scooter after the Jupiter 125. It offers a big 21.5-litre boot capable of accommodating a full-face helmet with a small water bottle as well. It has got a complete digital MID with many information displayed in it. It shows speedometer, odometer, two trip metres, clock, fuel gauge, and DTE. It also gets Bluetooth-connected tech that helps riders to connect their phone with the vehicle. This feature offers call alert, message alert, and turn-by-turn navigation.

The Suzuki Burgman 125 also comes with a 125cc air-cooled engine that produces 8.6bhp & 10Nm of torque with a top speed of 95kmph. This scooter gives a mileage of 45-50kmpl. The Suzuki Burgman costs close to Rs 1,03,000 to Rs 1,08,000 (on-road, Mumbai).

Hero Maestro Edge 125

Hero Maestro Edge 125 is another practical scooter in the market today. It offers good amount of space on the footboard and offers a boot storage capacity of 22-litres. A full-face helmet fits perfectly but does not have extra space for other kinds of stuff. The boot of the Maestro edge has a light with a phone charger in it. The MID of the top model is digital which shows all important details like speedometer, odometer, trip meters, DTE, and a clock. It also Hero Smart Connect which connects the scooter to your mobile and gives you all information about your vehicle. It also allows you to geo-fence the scooter. The display of the scooter shows the turn-by-turn navigation on the top variant.

Talking about the engine, it has a 125cc air-cooled engine with a powertrain of 9bhp & 10.4Nm of torque and offers a top-speed of 90kmph. Ather 450X

An electric vehicle makes its way to our list as well. The Ather 450X offers a big boot with 26-litres of storage space which can accommodate a full-face helmet with some space left over. It is a fully tech-loaded scooter. It has a 7.0-inch colour display that displays all the information about the scooter. The Ather 450X offers connected tech, navigation, mobile connection, music control, and much more. This scooter is offered in two variants; 450x Plus & 450X Standard.

The top-spec 450X comes with a 6kW brushless DC electric motor that produces 8bhp & 26Nm of torque. It has a battery pack of 2.9kWh lithium-ion battery and this gives a range of 80kms on a full charge. The price of the model Ather 450X Plus is Rs 1,10,000 (on-road, Mumbai) whereas the Ather 450X Standard costs Rs 1,30,000 (on-road, Mumbai).
