Rs 9 lakh car to get new technology and FACELIFT IN 2022
Cars have become the go-to mode of transportation due to the pandemic. But cars have become expensive to run due to the rising fuel prices. Maruti can make the Ertiga an even better prospect with mild-hybrid tech. In today’s article, we will see a Rs 9 lakh car to get new technology and facelift.
What will the Ertiga facelift get?
The Ertiga will be another Maruti car to receive an update in 2022. Recently the Ertiga facelift was spotted testing. It will get some cosmetic changes like a new grille, new bumpers and alloy wheels. In the interior, we can expect a new dashboard layout and some new features.
What is this new technology?
The current Ertiga comes with a basic hybrid version. Maruti calls this Smart Hybrid System (SHVS). This tech only the electronic appliances in the car for some time after you switch off the engine. Maruti is working on a better hybrid system to employ on the Ertiga facelift. In this new system, it will get a bigger battery pack connected to the engine. It will get regenerative capabilities to achieve maximum efficiency.
Why is the Maruti Ertiga hybrid setup needed?
The new hybrid system will increase the mileage of the Ertiga. Currently, the Ertiga gets a claimed mileage of 18-26km/l. With this new hybrid system, it can get a mileage of around 30-35km/l. This kind of mileage will attract a lot of customers to the Ertiga. Also, it would attract people thinking about buying diesel cars but are worried about the emission norms.
Maruti Ertiga hybrid expected launch
Currently, Maruti and Toyota are collaborating on several products. They are also collaborating on this new hybrid system. They have already started expanding Suzuki’s Sanad plant to manufacture and accommodate battery packs. Maruti will be using this launch battery pack on various cars including the Ertiga. While we are not sure that the Ertiga will launch with this hybrid system when the facelift comes, the car will get an update this year. The 2022 Maruti Ertiga facelift will launch late in 2022.
