Tata Harrier to get 10 features in 2022 update

The Harrier is one of Tata’s flagship products in India along with the Safari. It is known for its bold and aggressive front looks and powerful engines. But the Harrier hasn’t received any changes since its launch in 2019 and update in 2020. Tata will be giving it a facelift in 2022 to take on the competition. In today’s article, we will see ten features that Tata Harrier will get in its 2022 facelift.

Design updates

The Harrier already comes with a great design. But in this facelift, Tata might give it some subtle changes to differentiate from the current generation. Tata can give it a new colour scheme, new grille, updated bumpers and different headlamps.

360-degree camera

The 360-degree camera is a feature that all big SUVs should get. It can be really helpful while parking the car in tight parking spaces. It can also be useful for new owners to get in sync with the dimensions of the car.

2022 Tata Harrier Petrol engines

The Harrier currently comes only with diesel engines. But it needs a petrol engine considering the upcoming emission norms. A petrol engine will help Tata lower the starting point of all its variants. Tata will need a big engine like a 1.6-litre or 2.0-litre turbo petrol in a big car like the Harrier.

Ventilated seats

Ventilated seats have quickly become a must-have feature in our hot and humid climate. All cars in this segment come with ventilated seats which the Harrier misses out on. Tata recently added ventilated seats on the Safari. So Tata should look to bring it on the Harrier.

ADAS

ADAS is quickly becoming a norm in the Indian market. It is quite a welcome addition as it is quite useful from the safety point of view. Considering Tata push for safety, we expect them to offer ADAS in the updated Harrier.

Better touchscreen

The Harrier comes with 7.0-inch infotainment, which is quite small compared to the competition. Tata should look to give it at least a 10.0-inch system to suit the cabin. Also, the UI on the Harrier is laggy Tata should improve it on the update.

2022 Tata Harrier Air purifier

Air purifier systems have been brought into the spotlight by the pandemic and Hyundai/Kia cars. Though they are gimmicky, they offer some level of protection in our polluted cities. Tata added this feature in the Safari, so it should also look to bring it to the Harrier.

Wireless charging

Wireless charging is quickly gaining popularity in the Tech world. Due to this reason, we see more and more phones coming with wireless technology. Wireless charging in the car provides an uncluttered cabin experience.

Wireless connectivity

With wireless charging, Tata should also give it wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Wireless phone connectivity lets you seamlessly connect your smartphones with the infotainment system. Tata should offer this in the 2022 update.

Tata Harrier 2022 facelift ambient lighting

A simple cabin can look quite luxurious with a simple addition like ambient lights. Almost all mass-market cars come with ambient lighting. It is also not that expensive to install and Tata should bring it in the 2022 update.
