The Mahindra Bolero Neo was recently launched by Mahindra in India. The Bolero Neo is an updated, repositioned, and tweaked version of the TUV300. Mahindra had an SUV named TUV300 (Tough Utility Vehicle). The TUV300 was discontinued and now it’s back with some major updates as the Mahindra Bolero Neo. Back then the TUV300 had a nine-seater version as the TUV300Plus. The TUV300 Plus was one of a kind product and had no competition in its segment. Intending to expand the Bolero lineup, Mahindra might be planning to bring the nine-seater back as the Bolero Neo Plus. In this article, we will discuss what the Bolero Neo Plus has to offer for Indian buyers.

The front fascia of the Bolero Neo Plus will be the same as the recently launched Bolero Neo. The front grille will be blacked out with chrome inserts carrying the new Mahindra SUV logo in the center. The SUV will continue to carry the legendary boxy look of the Bolero lineup. This SUV will get heavier doors, a defining line across the side so stay true to its Bolero badging. The car will get a set of newly designed headlamps along with an LED DRL setup. The Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus is expected to offer a great road presence.

Currently, the Bolero Neo stands 3995mm in length, 1795mm in width, 1817 in height with a  wheelbase of 2680mm, and ground clearance of 180mm. The Bolero Neo is expected to retain dimensions of the TUV300 Plus which was 4400mm in length, 1835mm in width, and 1812mm in height with a wheelbase of 2680 and ground clearance of 184mm. The Bolero Neo Plus will be longer and wider which means the cabin space will be more. The SUV will be offering bigger space in the boot area with jumper seats that can be occupied by four adults.

Engine Specifications

mHawk engine

The TUV300 Plus was powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. Currently, the XUV500 and the Scorpio use the same 2.2-litre diesel engine. This engine produces 120bhp and 320Nm of torque mated to a manual gearbox. This engine offers a mileage in the range of 18 to 20kmpl. We expect the Bolero Neo Plus to also get the MTT (Multi-Terrain Technology) that is offered in the top variant of the Bolero Neo. This will make driving on rough roads and off-roading easier.
