The new Hyundai i20 was launched in 2020 in India. The i20 is one of the best cars available in the premium hatchback segment today. It is a true all-rounder with multiple segment-first features to interest the customers along with aadded benefit of Hyundai’s reliability. With that being said, the Hyundai i20 still misses out on some features. In this article, we will discuss five features we wish Hyundai i20 got.

Ventilated Seats

features Hyundai i20

The Hyundai i20 misses out on ventilated cooled seats for the front row. This feature adds more comfort to passengers while traveling during long-distance journeys. Currently, cooled seats are offered in the Hyundai Creta. Offering a similar setup in the i20 seems a manageable task for Hyundai.

Remote Engine Start-Stop via key

features Hyundai i20

The Hyundai i20 comes equipped with the brand’s flagship connected car technology, the Blue Link. The i20 gets all compatible features of Blue Link along with a convenient features like remote engine start-stop. However the i20 misses the ‘remote engine start-stop via key’ feature. Placing the remote engine start-stop button on the key will add to the convenience of the users.

Rear sun blinders

features Hyundai i20

Hyundai Creta gets rear sun-blinders that add to the convenience of the passengers. The i20 is a premium hatchback but misses out on this feature. Usually, rear sun-blinders are used to prevent heating of the interiors of the cabin and can also be used to maintain privacy along with adding a premium touch to the overall look of the cabin.

Flat-bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters

features Hyundai i20

The i20 gets normal steering which seems outdated and lacks style for a premium hatchback. We expect the i20 to get a flat-bottom steering wheel to up the style and premium feel of this hatchback. The regular i20 also misses out on paddle shifters which add to the sportiness of the car. As of now, only the i20 N Line comes with this feature but we expect Hyundai to extend this feature to other i20 variants as well.

Diesel automatic

features Hyundai i20

The Hyundai i20 gets a long list of engine & gearbox combinations for the buyers to choose from. However, a diesel engine with an automatic gearbox is missing. In the coming time, we expect Hyundai to offer an automatic gearbox with the diesel engine as well in order to attract more buyers.
