Testing of their upcoming SUVs is in full swing as production-ready test mules are spotted quite frequently on Indian roads. In this article, we will discuss three upcoming Mahindra cars that will be priced under Rs 20 lakh.
Mahindra XVU400 EV
Mahindra had showcased an electric vehicle in the Auto Expo 2020 as the E-XUV300. This is now allegedly been renamed the XUV400 and will enter the sub-four-metre compact SUV segment. This car will lock horns with Tata Nexon EV as its arch-rival. The Mahindra XUV300 has already proved itself as one of the safest cars in India. As the XVU400 that is based on the XUV300 along with the EV factor will just make this an all-rounder product. This EV from Mahindra will be priced strategically against the Nexon EV. We expect the XUV 400 to be priced from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom).
Mahindra Thar Five-Door
Mahindra Thar is one of the most popular products from the brand. The Thar despite being a good product lacks be a practical product for a family to properly use. Mahindra is working on a five-door version of the Thar. The five-door version will be bigger than the normal Thar. The five-door Thar will make ingress and egress easy for elderly people in the family. The extra space in the five-door Thar will make the car more spacious with increased cabin space and storage space. It will continue to get the same engine options in petrol and diesel but with a different state of tune that will produce more power. A 4×4 variant will also be offered for the off-road enthusiast. The five-door Thar is expected to be priced from Rs 14 to 18 lakh (ex-showroom).
Mahindra New Generation Scorpio
Mahindra Scorpio is one of the most iconic SUVs from Mahindra. This SUV is about to get a new generation update in 2021. The new generation Scorpio will be based on ladder frame chassis just like the Thar. This is going to be a major update in the new generation Scorpio. The build quality of Mahindra SUVs has been proved every time they are tested at the Global NCAP. A similar strong and rugged build quality is expected in the new generation Scorpio. The new generation Scorpio will get an all-new design along with new stylish headlamps, new tail lamps, and bigger bumpers. The Scorpio will be equipped with features like dual-zone climate control, connected car technology, a big touch screen infotainment system, front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, and a sunroof. A 4×4 variant of the new Scorpio will also be offered. The expected price of the new generations Scorpio will start from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 20 Lakh (ex-showroom).
