Whereas the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza ZXI Plus AT dual tone is priced at Rs 13.18 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The Super 1.5 variant is just above the Style (base variant) of MG Astor. Whereas the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza ZXI Plus AT dual tone is the top-end variant of the SUV.

The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza gets a boxy design and seems quite outdated when compared to the newly launched MG Astor. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is 3995mm in length, 1790mm in width, 1640mm in height with a wheelbase of 2500mm, and ground clearance of 198mm. Whereas the MG Astor is 4323mm in length, 1809mm in width, 1650mm in height with a wheelbase of 2585mm, and ground clearance of 185mm. The Astor is a longer and wider car offering good legroom and shoulder room in the cabin.

The MG Astor (Super) is powered by a VTi-TECH 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 108bhp and 144Nm of torque mated to a five-speed manual transmission. While the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza (ZXI Plus AT dual tone) gets a K15B 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 103bhp and 138Nm of torque mated to a four-speed automatic (torque converter) transmission. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza with an automatic gearbox will be easy to drive in city traffic compared to MG Astor with a manual gearbox.

MG ZS EV NCAP Score

The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is the only car from Maruti Suzuki to score a four-star safety rating at Global NCAP testing. The MG Astor is not yet tested, but the MG ZS EV which is the EV equivalent of the MG Astor and shares most of the elements with the MG Astor. The MG ZS EV scored a five-star rating at the Euro NCAP testing. Both cars are safe, but MG Astor will be a safer car compared to Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
