Upcoming rivals that will surely trouble the Tata Nexon

One famous product from the list of compact SUVs is the Tata Nexon. The car has quickly climbed the stairs of success and has become the top-seller for Tata. It does face tough competition from its rivals like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Vitara Brezza, etc. but fails to budge. All-new Maruti Vitara Brezza
Maruti Vitara Brezza has always caused dents in Tata Nexon’s sales figures. Even though Maruti does not offer a diesel engine and some common modern features, it still brings great sales for Maruti. Maruti is however ready with the all-new Vitara Brezza that will strongly take on not just the Nexon but all its rivals. Maruti will offer various modern features with the Brezza that will help it outshine its competitors. The availability of more modern features will enhance the value-for-money proposition of the Vitara Brezza. New touchscreen infotainment system, sunroof, wireless charging, 360-degree camera and paddle shifters will be some of the additions to this SUV.
Hyundai Venue facelift
The Hyundai Venue is another strong competitor to the Nexon that awaits an update. The upcoming facelift has already been spotted testing in South Korea. This clearly hints that Hyundai has finally decided to update the car. The car although being a great value for money proposition needs updates because the competition has a lot to offer to compete with the Venue. As far as updates are concerned, the car will get subtle design updates in the headlamps and tail lamps. On the features front, the car is expected to get a bigger touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster, BOSE premium sound system, ambient lighting, etc. We also expect some segment-first features to be on offer since Hyundai has always been known for doing that.
Citroen C3
Citroen is all-set to expand its roots in the country. The brand is going to achieve this by launching an affordable car in the country; the C3. The car, although being called a hatchback by the French carmaker will surely dent the sakes of Tata Nexon. SUV-like stance and availability of some modern features will surely attract buyers. Also, with the quirky design language of Citroen, buyers will surely be up to bring home something unique.
Jeep compact SUV
Jeep too has been preparing a compact SUV to place in its portfolio, especially the one focused on the Indian market. The Jeep compact SUV, touted to be called the ‘Junior’ will be the first in the market to offer ‘4X4’ capabilities. However, jeep will achieve that by using its 4Xe technology. The Jeep Junior with its 4X4 capabilities could surely be a threat to the Tata Nexon. The Jeep Junior will share most of its basics with the upcoming Citroen C3.
Volkswagen-Skoda compact SUV
Volkswagen and Skoda are also planning to bring an affordable SUV for the buyers. Both the brands will be able to put in the German essence of making cars, something that currently misses from the segment. The car will be based on the MQB A0 IN platform and will be a premium offering in the segment.
