Recently, at the Milan Motorcycle Show (EICMA), Royal Enfield has teased a new motorcycle. This concept motorcycle is most likely to get the same 650cc, parallel-twin engine that we see on the Continental GT 650 and the Interceptor 650. In this article, we discuss what the Royal Enfield SG650 could offer once it is brought to the market. Let’s go.

The Royal Enfield SG650 teased at Milan Motorcycle Show (EICMA), is based on a bobber-styled retro motorcycle. The SG in the SG650 stands for ‘Shotgun’. Previously Royal Enfield had registered a trademark in the name of Shotgun and this could be the same bike they are about to launch. The bike gets a round headlamp, wide handlebar and rearview mirrors mounted at the end of the handlebars. The concept bike also uses upside-down forks and twin disc brakes at the front. The rear gets twin shock absorbers. The fat and chunky tyres complete the aggressive look. The bike gets a twin exhaust setup similar to the Interceptor 650. The bike gets a hand-stitched single bobber-styled black leather seat that is giving it a unique look.

The Shotgun 650 gets a 648cc air-and-oil-cooled engine that produces 47bhp and 52Nm of torque. This engine is expected to come mated to a six-speed gearbox. This is the same parallel-twin engine that we see on the Continental GT 650 and the Interceptor 650.

Features

The most noticeable feature offered in the Shotgun 650 will be a twin-disc brake setup at the front. The bike will get full-LED headlamps, LED indicators, a digital instrument cluster, and a tripper navigation system. The overall design and styling of the bike give it a very aggressive and muscular appeal. The bobber-styled single-seat makes this bike look unique. We also expect the bike to come with dual-channel ABS and slipper clutch.

This is a concept motorcycle that Royal Enfield has teased, a production version of this bike will be exciting to watch on the streets soon. If you have car buying doubts click here to ask!
