190bhp Abarth 500 facelift – SPIED

Fiat´s little pocket rocket, the 500 Abarth was spotted testing, this time in Sweden.The car will be getting a facelift  similar to what the Fiat 500 has got recently. We had earlier posted spy pics of the Abarth 500 in December 2015.

The front bumper will get a new design with new air intakes and a more powerful look. Headlamps and taillamps will get the same design and upgrades as the standard Fiat 500. Expect some new designed wheels to round up the exterior package.Inside we get a new infotainment system and also a few upgrades to the interior overall. Rumours suggest that we will also get a power bump for all 500 Abarth so expect up to 190bhp for the wildest version of the 500 Abarth.

This will be the most powerful Abarth 500 that is currently sold. Abarth has been working on this for a while and this powertrain is likely to power even the Punto as well. Fiat has been updating its powertrains and the new generation vehicles will be getting these engines. The next-generation Fiats and Abarths will be lighter, more powerful and at the same time a lot more fuel-efficient too.

The exteriors will have the headlamps and taillamps similar to the Fiat 500 and will also include the circular LED DRLs. The Abarth 595 Competizione currently selling in India might get this upgrade next year. Fiat fans seem to be waiting for new frugal engines that will be high on performance as well.
