Rs 10 lakh SUV to make a comeback in a new avatar
The Duster started the C-segment in the Indian market. Over the years, it has garnered high praises for its rugged design and powerful engines. But for some reason, Renault has not brought its generation update. This has evidently affected its sales as it lacks a lot of features over the competition. However, we now expect Renault to bring the new-generation update Duster to India. In today’s article, we will be looking at the new avatar of this 2022 Renault Duster.
Exterior design
The second-generation Duster comes with Y-shaped LED DRLs, updated tail lamps and LED turn indicators. At the front, the car gets a bold and modern look. The side profile is identical to the current generation. Rear of the car gets a newly designed tail lamp arrangement. The Duster now comes with 16-inch & 17-inch alloy rims and a new spoiler.
Renault Duster 2022 interior design
In the interiors, it will get a modern dashboard layout. It will get new upholstery and headrest. Moreover, the centre console will be raised to give it a more premium look. Other interior highlights include circular AC vents, a wide armrest, a TFT instrument cluster, automatic climate control and a 4-spoke steering wheel.
Specifications
Globally the Duster comes with a variety of engine options. For the Indian market, Renault is likely to retain the current petrol engine. The Duster used to get powerful diesel engines, but Renault had to discontinue them due to the BS6 norms. So it’s highly unlikely that the new-generation Duster will get a diesel engine. Renault could also offer an AWD system to take on the competition.
Renault Duster 2022 features
Features have become an important USP in this segment. The new-generation Duster is expected to come with features like cruise control, automatic climate control, a six-speaker setup, automatic climate control, onboard navigation and voice command. Moreover, Renault could add more features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 360-degree camera and wireless charging.
Launch timeline and pricing
There is nothing official from Renault regarding the new-generation Duster. But the sales of Kiger must have surely encouraged Renault to bring the new-generation Duster. The pricing of the new-generation Duster is expected to start from Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
