The YTB is expected to get a design similar to the Futuro-E concept car that Maruti had shown at the Auto expo 2020. The new car will get a tall boy design to give it an SUV look. This tallboy design will give it more spacious interiors. In the interiors, it will borrow some elements from the Baleno to give them a premium look.

The new SUV will share its engine options with the Baleno. It will get a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 82bhp and 113Nm of torque. The other engine will be a 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine producing 89bhp and 113Nm of torque. Both these engines will come with manual and automatic transmission options. Maruti may also bring a mild hybrid on the YTB to give it the best in class mileage. Though the chances of this happening are slim, it can completely change this segment.
