Audi is busy developing the second generation of their best seller in our country the Q3. Based on the rendering from Omni Auto, we can see that the styling is based on the fifth generation A4.

The all new Q3 will ditch the existing PQ35 platform m and move to the newer and bigger MQB platform. Given the fact that Audi is discontinuing the PQ35 platform, the MQB platform will give the Q3 larger dimensions as well. They plan to widen the gap between the, soon to be launched Q2 and the new Q3. The second generation of the Q3 should be launched in the second half of 2017.

We can safety assume that the interiors will be designed based on the A4. But it may incorporate various technologies like the Virtual Dashboard, Matrix LED headlights 3D Surround sound system

The next generation Q3 should be powered by 1.4 liter to 2.0 liter diesel and petrol engines there is also a high probability of a hybrid variant as well.

The RS variant should continue being the performance variant, powered by a turbocharged engine unique to itself. The current (German-spec) RS Q3 is powered by a 2.

5-litre TFSI turbocharged petrol engine that puts out 340 PS (335 hp) and 450 Nm of torque.
