When it comes to adventure bikes, Royal Enfield Himalayan is one bike that people can think of. The bike has been around for quite some time and does decent sales consistently. In this article, we will discuss five things that we want on the Himalayan to make it a better bike to ride.

Fine Tuned Engine

Currently, the Royal Enfield Himalayan gets a 411cc air-cooled engine that produces 24.3bhp and 32Nm of torque. The engine of the Himalayan is adequately powered, but can sometimes feel underpowered. The engine could be fine-tuned to add some more power and torque so that the bike can become an all-rounder while commuting, touring and off-roading.

Weight reduction

The bike weighs 199kg which makes it a bit heavy. The bike needs to reduce around eight to nine kg weight so that the bike becomes lighter. This will impact the performance and mileage of the Himalayan in a positive way. This will also improve the handling and maneuverability of the bike while riding on the tarmac as well as while off-roading.

Royal Enfield Himalayan Fully Digital Cluster

The Royal Enfield Himalayan gets a partial digital instrument cluster. A fully digital TFT display, something that we see on the KTM 390 Adventure would be good to see on the Himalayan. A fully digital instrument cluster will also enhance the look of the bike and attract more buyers.

Better Ground Clearance

Another aspect that the Royal Enfield could improve in the Himalayan is its ground clearance. The Himalayan is an adventure bike with a ground clearance of 220mm that is barely adequate for an adventure bike. The seat height is just perfect, but the ground clearance needs to be increased by 10mm to 15mm. While off-roading, the bike gets some belly scraps, and the same could be avoided with better ground clearance.

Royal Enfield Himalayan Modern Electronics

Royal Enfield could also introduce some modern electronics to the Himalayan. Features like ride-by-wire, traction control, and Bluetooth connectivity are some of the modern features we expect to see in the new Himalayan.
